Since the start of the year I have been honored to kickstart a business development and consulting firm called Novo. Novo has been in stealth mode which is why I have been reluctant to make this announcement until now. The reason why I joined this company was deeply rooted in the WHY. First, let me give you some background into Novo and the story behind it. The inception of Novo Associates can be traced back to an unconventional approach within a Venture Capital firm. This firm did more than just provide financial backing; they put their money where their mouth was, became operationally involved in the companies it invested in, guiding them towards sustainable success. What better way to help your portfolio companies succeed then get your hands dirty with them. Recognizing the high demand for such hands-on support beyond their portfolio, the venture firm identified a scalable opportunity. Thus, Novo was born.The first model is Novo Associates. When you think of Novo Associates think big time consulting. Associates is deeply layered with experience and perspectives from consulting, C-suite experience, investors and entrepreneurs.  Leveraging a wealth of expertise, we deploy data-driven, analytical methodologies to tackle the most complex business challenges. We form strategic partnerships with forward-thinking companies and executives, offering tailored solutions to drive significant impact. The core focus in all of this is driven by the core KPI - sustainable business growth. As a complement to Novo Associates we are creating Novo Accel. Accel will be a technology platform focused on connecting global talent with businesses of all sizes across 4 key areas: technology, growth/marketing, HR, and operations. While other platforms may offer similar services, it is the availability of business consulting that truly sets us apart. The intersection of the market is at the core of the WHY and why I chose to pursue this venture.There are many business models out there which offer services of connecting global talent to businesses. The acceptance of remote work and high interest rate environment has produced exponential growth in this market. There are numerous venture capital and private equity firms who are filled with an encyclopedia of business knowledge but are there to write checks, periodically check in, and hope that your business becomes a unicorn. What will differentiate Novo is combining both of those concepts and merging them into one.
