Today is my daughter’s sixth birthday. This past weekend we had her birthday celebration with friends and family. While getting ready for the party we were hanging out in my bedroom enjoying daddy daughter time. It was time to go downstairs and she wanted me to chase her. She started jogging down the hallway, looking back at me, smiling, and laughing. The moment was something out of a movie. My eyes started watering up as I was overcome with love and the emotion of a simple moment like that. I don’t know why it happened in that particular moment but I think that is the beauty of life. It’s the moments in time you don’t expect that end up being the most special. I probably won’t remember the party, or what food was there, but I will never forget that moment of seeing pure love and joy on my daughters face as she looked at me running down the hallway. Life is precious and I am grateful to have people, like my family life who love me that much. To my friends and family, I love you all.
